Common Road, Bressingham Common, Norfolk IP22 2HD

The reconstruction of Tinker’s Barn and the conversion of Poacher’s Barn have been undertaken with great care by our team of local craftsmen. These striking four bedroom homes provide comtemporary internal living spaces and crisp external detailing. They each sit within large moated gardens accessed by individual private bridges. Both properties are set at the end of a tree-lined driveway in a delightful, bucolic rural setting close to the border of Suffolk and Norfolk.

Location
The barns previously formed part of the estate of Old Boyland Hall, which dates back as far back as the late 13th century when it was the manorial seat of Sir Richard de Boyland. It later formed part of the Duke of Norfolk’s estate, and was apparently visited in 16th century by Queen Elizabeth I.

The surrounding area offers beautiful locations to explore – Thetford Forest to the west, the Waveney Valley to the east, with Southwold and the Suffolk Coast further afield.

The charming market town of Diss has a wide range of independent shops and benefits from an excellent rail service. There are two trains an hour to London (90mins) and Norwich (20mins). The station even has it’s own micro-pub on the platform.

Close by you have the lovely Burston Crown pub and the acclaimed Bressingham Steam Train & Gardens. Wyken Vineyards provides good food at it’s Leaping Hare restaurant and an excellent farmer’s market. TW Gaze Auction Rooms in Diss is a local gem, for picking up good furniture at a great price.

The wonderful city of Norwich and historic Bury St Edmunds are nearby and offer a broad range of shopping, eating and cultural opportunities.
