Hopton Yard is the development of four new houses on a site that offers bucolic valley views across the River Yox, just outside the village of Yoxford. The design of this ‘family’ of houses provides contemporary living, whilst respecting and responding to their rural setting.
Hopton Yard was shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2017.
The four houses all share a handmade clay tile roof that wraps itself seamlessly down the flank walls of the building. The houses are then bookended by a white painted weatherboarding. The hidden guttering provides a crisp, simple shape and finish to these individual homes.
